Soy Paula Bernardos (El Crab) diseñadora y realizadora de El Crab® Studio, donde creo muebles y objetos únicos a partir de materiales recuperados.
Con formacion en carpintería, interiorismo e historia del arte, doy nacimiento al cangrejo, el unico animal conocido por caminar diferente al resto.
Los objetos cuentan con una estructura, reforzada y tratada, que nos permite crear piezas funcionales que desafían los prejuicios sobre lo que puede ser “valioso” o “duradero”. Así, recuperamos un material subestimado y lo convertimos en mobiliario con propósito: objetos que no solo habitan espacios, sino que también comunican valores.
Frente al modelo de consumo basado en lo desechable, proponemos una alternativa artesanal, regenerativa y consciente.
El Crab no es solo diseño, es una postura ética.

I'm Paula Bernardos (El Crab), designer and maker behind El Crab® Studio, where I create unique furniture and objects using reclaimed materials.
With a background in carpentry, interior design, and art history, El Crab was born—named after the only known animal that walks differently from the rest. That’s how we approach design: with a distinct point of view.
Each piece is structurally reinforced and treated, allowing us to craft functional objects that challenge common ideas of what is considered “valuable” or “durable.” We reclaim overlooked materials and turn them into meaningful furniture—pieces that not only inhabit spaces but also communicate values.
In contrast to a throwaway culture, we offer an artisanal, regenerative, and conscious alternative.
El Crab is more than just design—it’s an ethical stance.
